The outcome of my discussion with PT. Namdur Group Indonesia: what the problems were, and what solutions I proposed.
Client Problems
Slow manual booking process prone to double booking
Prospective guests had to chat with an admin just to check date availability, then wait for a reply. In peak season, the same unit often got booked twice because the calendar was not updated in realtime.
Prospective guests dropped off mid-process
Every hour waiting for an admin reply was a chance for guests to move to a competitor villa they could book instantly. A long-winded process wasted already-acquired traffic.
Company team already familiar with WordPress
The internal team was used to managing content through WordPress. Building a fully custom system from scratch meant learning new tools and depending on a developer forever for small updates.

Built on WordPress as the team requested
The entire system runs on WordPress the company team already masters. Price updates, villa photos, and promos can be handled in-house without touching code.
A convincing villa catalog before booking
Each villa has its own page with photo gallery, facilities, nightly rates, and reviews. Guests feel confident first, then book, which greatly reduces complaints.

Conclusion
The PT. Namdur Group Indonesia villa booking website project was completed and went live in July 2024. A booking process that used to require back-and-forth chats with an admin is now finished in minutes by the guests themselves, with an always-accurate calendar.
The main lesson: the best technology is the one that gets used. WordPress was chosen not because it is the most advanced, but because the company team was already familiar with it, so the system is genuinely maintained after handover.
